Charming Chihuahua Adult Male in Medina, Washington

My story
Hello, my name is Charming… as in Prince Charming. I was one of 9 puppies born after our mommy was pulled from a very high kill shelter in Houston, TX (on the day she was to be put to sleep, as she was very pregnant with us, and they had no place for her).

I was born 10/7/2016.

I am told they think I may be some sort of chihuahua dachshund mix... maybe even a bit of pug mixed in with my adorable underbite.

My siblings and I have been trying to find homes in Houston since we were little, but it is very hard to find people there that want to take care of us the right way.

We sat at hundreds of events, and people would say how cute we were, but we never found our places.

That is when the rescue started placing others in the Seattle area.

That was going so well, they decided to move, with all of us, up to this area.

We just arrived here a short time ago.

I have one brother and sister that have found their homes, so I decided it is my turn to give it a go. I have to mention, I am listed as special needs because when I was very little, and with my previous foster, somehow I hurt my hip.

I had to have surgery when I was about a year old to fix it.

At the joint, they had to cut the damaged bone out, and there is muscle only at the joint now.

I will always walk just a tad off, but the vet said it shouldn’t affect me much at all.

It will need to be watched as I get older, just to be safe, but I don’t even realize I am different really.

I love to play.

I love to sleep with you.

I love to hang out and do whatever you are doing.

I do fairly well with going potty where I should as long as you keep me on a bit of a schedule.

I know how to use potty pads (though I sometimes walk off of them and end up going on the side of them), or I go outside.

I am fairly small, so we little ones can only hold it so long though.

I am not too sure of my opinions of children, not having been around too many, therefore very young children are probably not a good idea.

I do ok with other doggies as long as they are not too intimidating, but I probably won’t ever flourish at daycare or dog parks as sometimes other doggies sense my difference and they try to bully me.

I am happier just being around my person/ people.

I don’t mind kitties… my foster family has a few… some like to play, some do not… I have learned to stay away from kitties that tell me they do not want to play, and I give them their space.

Well, that is all for now… time to go play.

Let my rescue people know if you’d like to meet me, and after you fill out an application to be an approved adopter, they will schedule a time for us to meet each other.

Oh, I am fully vetted and up to date on my healthcare too.

Adoption fee:

$500 (this includes a few months of heartworm/ flea medication, a leash/ harness for him, a few other supplies)
